Juanda’s work does not set its ultimate goal in History, what it formalizes is fundamentally an invitation to recognize our present in all its complexity, without losing sight of the continuity of historical processes. The artist combines aesthetic manifestations that account for cultural mixes, and have to do with unequal power relations reproduced since the colonization of the Americas.
